WeWork: The First Physical Social Network

Openhouse has recently partnered up with WeWork, the company known for bringing you premier office space from Hollywood to Madison Avenue. Since 2010, WeWork has not only altered the definition of an office, but their co-working office spaces are successfully bringing together creative businesses and entrepreneurs under one roof. Through the empowerment of collaboration, these aesthetic and easy-going office boutiques have given birth to what may be considered as “the first physical social network.”

WeWork currently runs ten spaces in New York City, three in San Francisco, and one in Los Angeles. Offices are rented out on a monthly basis, with several packages to choose from: Virtual Office, Single Desks and Private Offices. (Prices vary depending on location.) Members are offered several amenities, which include free Wi-Fi, organic coffee, conference rooms, B+W / color prints, copy and scan.

Openhouse is currently using WeWork SoHo’s office space as a second home. Finding itself wedged between SoHo, Nolita, Little Italy and Chinatown, this comfy workplace is known as WeWork’s first location in New York. The SoHo office is also accompanied by Brew Café, a chic eatery conveniently set beside WeWork SoHo’s lobby; open to the public, but as a member of WeWork you will receive 10% off every purchase. Not bad.
