Hundreds of New Yorkers came down to Openhouse Gallery on Sunday June 12 to taste some of the best hummus in the city and vote for their favorite. Openhouse Gallery’s The Middle Feast featured New York City restaurants including 12 Chairs, Le Sajj, Moustache, Pita Joe, Toum as well as Le Poisson wine, Bella Lula juice and Zalatimo’s Old City Bakery baklava. Gawker Artists’ Malado Baldwin displayed 17 of her paintings on Openhouse’s walls.
When all the votes were tallied, 12 Chairs took the crown, followed by Pita Joe and Moustache. 12 Chairs’ recipe will be published in Edible Manhattan’s upcoming issue. Check out some of fashion photographer Cameron Neilson’s photos of Openhouse’s tasting pop up:
