The citizens of New York City were buzzing. The anticipation was building. Finally, the monthlong 3DEA Holiday 3D Pop Up Store opened its doors to the public on Thursday, November 29th. Openhouse Gallery, Shapeways, Ultimaker, Up! and Fatboy hosted the 3DEA Launch Party at the Eventi Hotel.

As hordes of designers, artists, friends in the 3D printing community and the curious New Yorker poured into the innovative 3D printing store, cups of wine were being handed out as guests explored the software at the DIY Hub, created their own 3D printed designs at the Ultimaker’s Doodle 3D Bar and explored the intimate Sex and Pistols exhibit.

Thanks to 3DEA the world of 3D printing has just introduced itself to a whole new audience. Stay tuned for what the 3DEA store has up its sleeves in the next few weeks.
