Last weekend at the Old Bowery Station, Barkbox popped up with its dog adoption pup-up. The event featured an on-site vet and a puppy matchmaker staff, along with forty furry friends-to-be and tons of eager adopters. As a prerequisite to the event, those looking to adopt filled out an online “perfect match” form, not unlike that of an online dating website. The majority of the dogs were rescued from Alabama, were over 100,000 animals are slaughtered annually. Best of all, the Bark and Co pup up created a buzz so big that more than forty puppies found new homes.
