Edible Manhattan + Edible Brooklyn Host Festival of 7 Ingredients at Openhouse

God was crafty when he created the week. He made it seven days long – one for each ingredient at Edible Manhattan & Edible Brooklyn’s Festival of 7 Ingredients. The festival, on the heels of Openhouse Gallery’s Middle Feast, features green garlic & chives, lamb, oysters, peas, rhubarb, strawberries and yogurt. It’s a heavenly opportunity to enjoy earthly delights created by mankind’s most creative chefs.

Festival of 7 Ingredients is being held Saturday June 18 from 6-9 pm at Openhouse Gallery on 201 Mulberry St. Edible Manhattan and Edible Brooklyn have tapped Bubby’s to make a strawberry-rhubarb pie; Hundred Acres to cook up some Naked Cowboy oyster stew; Carino to do their green garlic and chives quesadillas with yogurt salsa; Macao Trading Company to braise pork belly skewers and serve em with pickled rhubarb and strawberries; Bobo is making spicy lamb salad with pea greens, rhubarb and yogurt (hey, that’s cheating!); Palo Santo is making tacos; and PRINT has rhubarb and roasted strawberries with mascarpone cheese.
