Cold, busy, hectic, loud, noisy, wet: That’s Winter in New York City … until now. Openhouse Gallery is providing moms with an escape from winter and a private, safe, warm space in the heart of nolita. It’s Park Here’s Mommy Mornings, a daily pop up from 9am to noon at the pop-up park. Created with urban moms and their children in mind, Mommy Mornings features mom+kids yoga, trunk shows, musical singalongs, arts+crafts workshops, as well as organic coffee and tea.
For Mommy Mornings, Openhouse Gallery at 201 Mulberry St curated a full season of entertainment and activities. A Singalong with Ryan, was named one of Time Out Kids’ favorite entertainers and has been featured in the New York Post and on the Today Show. Junior’s Fresh is crafting samples of their all-natural, fresh-ingredient, homemade baby foods. Mommies and kids can enjoy Yogi Beans, the Upper East Side-based studio that teaches youngsters all the beginner asanas (poses).

New York moms enjoying the peaceful pop-up park and plush custom-made NewGrass today.

Throughout the next three months, Mommy Mornings will be New York moms’ escape from Winter. Tribeca’s House of Jem is teaching children arts+crafts skills that’ll be great for the holidays like paper flowers and holiday cookie decorating. 100%Gumdrop and Ox Kids are hosting exclusive trunk shows highlighting high-end fashion from hamsa charms and macrame bracelets to smartymouth jewelry and baby alpaca scarves. Children’s author Rosalie Masella will be reading her book Adventures of Dingle Dee and Lingle Dee. The Rockdoves will play kindie tunes, too!
