On a recent trip to Cold Spring, New York, we came across Terence Donovan’s work at his studio on Main Street. Donovan’s picturesque landscapes looked like they’d fit perfectly with our colorful, bucolic park. He’s been commissioned for paintings from East Hampton to Palo Alto and has work hanging at Marriot hotels, too. So why not on the wall at Openhouse Gallery amidst the colorful foliage, murals and plush grass? Rock Paper Photo’s fantastic black and white rock n roll photography came down on Dec. 31, but luckily we didn’t have to wait long to get new art up.

With the help of Streetwater, an art consultancy, four of Donovan’s realistic paintings are now up between the trees on the Great Lawn. From left to right, its House with Blue Tarp, Sign, Magnolias and House on Garden St.
